Search EBSCO for Specific Journals

You can check to see if EBSCOhost has a specific journal. Here's how:

  1. Go to any EBSCOhost database.
  2. Click on the Publications button on the sub-toolbar of your search screen.
  3. Type in the publication name
  4. Click the Browse button.
  5. This will bring the desired publication or publications to the top of the Result List if available in the database.

Search Publications by Subject

Search EBSCO for Journals by Subject

You can find all journals on any subject using the By Subject & Description option. Here's how:

  1. Go to any EBSCOhost database.
  2. Click on the Publications button on the sub-toolbar of your search screen.
  3. Type in the subject
  4. Select By Subject & Description
  5. Click the Browse button.
  6. This will bring the desired publication or publications to the top of the Result List if available in the database.

Navigating the Ebsco Journals Page

Navigate the EBSCO Publications/Journal Page

From the journal page you will see the details of the publication, such as the full text availability, embargo (how long the publisher chooses to delay electronic copy) if any, peer reviewed and more. From this page you can:

  1. You can click on the plus signs to open the year and click on desired volume to retrieve all articles.
  2. Click on search within this publication to search only in that journal.
  3. Click on Share to send email alerts or RSS feed of articles as they become available (have to create free EBSCOhost account for email). You can also get the permanent link to the journal or use social bookmarking.
