BUS 210:Principles of Marketing

This guide will help you locate, explore, and incorporate library resources in order to become successful in your BUS 210: Principles of Marketing course.

Harvard Business Review Resource Guide

In order to locate any Harvard Business Review articles, you will need to use our EBSCOhost database.

Please follow the instructions below and the corresponding images on the next tab above to help you locate the HBR articles you need:

Option 1

  1. Go to https://www.wwcc.edu/library/
  2. Click on the Online Research Guides by Class link.
  3. Select EBSCOhost database group.
  4. At the top of the database, click on "Choose Databases by Subject" and select them ALL.
  5. Once you have selected all databases, on the first search bar line type in "Harvard Business Review" then to the right of the first search bar under the "Select a Field" drop-down menu select "SO Source" and click search to browse through the available articles.

Option 2

If you are looking for a specific article where you have the article title and author follow the steps below:

  1. Follow steps 1-5 above from option 1 but DO NOT click search.
  2. In the following search bar line enter the title of the article and under the "Select a Field" drop-down menu select "TI Title".
  3. In the following search bar line enter the author of the article and under the "Select a Field" drop-down menu select "AU Author".
  4. Now you may "Select a Field" drop-down menu select to see if the Harvard Business Review article you are looking for comes up.
  5. If the article comes up please check the spelling and make sure the title is accurate. If you still can not find the article please email me at hector.lujan@wwcc.edu with the article identifying information such as title and author and publication date if you know it.

Option 3

If you need a Harvard Business Review article on a specific topic please follow the steps below:

  1. Follow steps 1-5 from option 1 listed above.
  2. In the following search bar enter a search topic such as "Marketing" but leave the "Select a Field" drop-down menu as the default option.
  3. Clicking enter will now pull up Harvard Business Review articles that are tagged with the metadata of "marketing" or any sub topic you input.
